Simon Watson

Simon is a Partner at BTG, based in Scotland. With over 20 years of experience, Simon has worked on a broad range of assignments encompassing strategic reviews, business valuations, forensic investigations, working capital assessments and independent business reviews. Simon has also contributed to the marketing and sale of businesses and business assets, including the disposal of substantial property portfolios. 

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Simon worked in audit at a Big Four firm in London and San Jose, California. He completed a full time MBA in 2003 and ran a property development business in Glasgow for several years, before moving into banking, gaining experience at a UK Big Four banking provider. 

 Simon worked in the distressed property space for six years, leading the forced exit and consensual run-out teams across Scotland and London for a leading bank. During this time, he gained significant exposure to the property sector and in particular, of managing insolvency cases/insolvent borrowers.
